Xmanager 1.3.9 doesn't load interface to Solaris 9 server.

I can select the host, enter the username and password, and the Solaris 9 splash screen pops up, but the interface never opens.

What happend, and what can I do to fix it?

Thanks,

Kirk

The problem may occur when a DISPLAY variable is configured incorrectly. Please see the FAQ #1 at:

Thanks for the reply. HOw do I go about changing the display settings as indicated? Where is this file located? On my Unix server, or on my Windows-client?

Thanks!

You can find it on Unix machine. It is usually set as 'setenv DISPLAY HOSTNAME:0' or 'export DISPLAY HOSTNAME:0'. But it is needless. It must not have been set.

If those lines exist in your startup script file(.cshrc, .profile, .login, etc) in your home directory on your Unix machine, You should delete those lines or comment those.
And in the file '.dtprofile' too. I don't remember it's location exactly. There may be in your HOME or HOME/.dt. How about using 'grep' command like this?

$grep -r DISPLAY .[A-z]*

Bye.
