Missing font ibm10x20
Friday, April 9, 2004 4:51 AM - Edward Hooper
I'm using Xmanager 1.3.9 and I get the message:
Can't open the following font:
'ibm10x20'
It will be replaced to another font automatically.
When I try to start various applications. Is there a log in Xmanager that will tell me what font it is really looking for (I'm guessing ibm10x20 is an alias) and where I can get it?
Also, what are the rules for adding new fonts? The help in Xmanager doesn't go into any details, it basicly says "just add fonts" but doesn't say how...
TIA,
Edward Hooper

To find the exact name of the required font, please see "C:\Program Files\Xmanager1.3.9\Xmanager.log". Xmanager logs all font names that failed to load.
For the guide on adding a new font in Xmanager, please refer to the help pages:
- Contents > Components of Xmanager > Fonts
- Contents > How to use Xmanager > Fonts
Adding a font server is another alternative way to support other fonts not found in Xmanager and we strongly recommend it due to its simplicity. To do so, please refer to Xmanager Help or Xmanager FAQ 1 from the link below:
/products/xmg_faq.html#faq01
Hope this can help you.
