CYGWIN or XMANAGER [2]

CYGWIN beats Xmanager (XDM) partbigtime any time and its free. I tried Xmanager from outside network and its very slow to repaint the desktop and the mouse movements and the applications. Konqueror would not run in Xmanager for SuSE 9.1 but cygwin did run it.

You can improve the performance by enabling Backing Store option in the Advaced tab of Xconfig.

Xmanager works well with SuSE 9.1 and Konqueror. The problem may be due to a special setting on your server or other configurations such as language, and so on.

prove it use SuSE 9.1 64-bit version and make Konqueror to work from Xmanager. We have tried and given up. We have reinstalled many times but with no luck. On the other hand Cygwin works flawlessly.
