XStart connection via IP Address [1]

Hi,

I'm using XManager2 Beta's XStart to connect to a Linux box. I can't connect by IP address, only hostname. If I put in an IP address, it tries to resolve it as a hostname and fails. Are there plans to be able to connect via IP address or hostname in the final release, or will it be hostname only?

For info, I'm trying to connect via IP address because the Linux box is only temporary and doesn't have a DNS record.

Xstart doesn't use DNS service when you put an IP address in the Host box. We tried it and there was no problem in using IP addresses.

Please check whether the IP address you entered is valid or not. It should consists of only digits and dots.
