Set connection interface as default

Friday, September 10, 2004 12:27 AM - MFMurphy00

I have two Ethernet interfaces, either of which can be used to connect to the XDMCP server on the network. Using V2 of XManager I am presented with a dialog box asking me to choose which interface to use for the connection. How do I set up for XManager to use one without asking (preferred) or to set the default to a particular one ( acceptable) since the default is the one I prefer *not* to use (wireless) if I have a hardwire connection?

You can bind a specific IP address to a session as following:

1. Run Xbrowser.
2. Right-click on the host you want to connect to.
3. Click Save As. Result: A new session is created.
4. Double-click the new session.

Now, you will be able to enable the "Always use this address" check box on the IP selection dialog box.
