Hi, I met a problem.
I can use xterm and totalview successfully through xstart, but I can't see the login window, neither the whole remote desktop. I followed the instructions in the tutorial, but it said it need root to change the conf files or run the xdm/gmd, etc in the linux box. But I dont have the root on that.
Can I use xmanager with a non-root manager, or can I see the whole desktop with a common user.
Thanks
T

Once you get an xterm, enter the following command in the prompt of xterm:
# gnome-session
or
# startkde
# gnome-session
or
# startkde
