VNC with XManager 2.0

Hi,

I just instelled the test version of XManager 2.0 and tried some stuff to see if everything is working OK.

Here is one BIG problem which I found:

When calling vncviewer on a Linux machine, XManager 2.0 displays the content VERY slow, about 20x slower than it used to be with XManager 1.3.9 (which we still use at the moment for this reason).

Is there some configuration problem maybe ? Do I have to change any options for using vncviewer on a remote machine ? If it stays like this we cannot upgrade to 2.0 ....

Best regards,

PS: Here is how I usually do this:

- Open xterm on remote machine
- call vncviewer somecomputer:x

We have to do this because its the only way to acces these computers since their adresses are not routed (only the server)

The RGB bit format has changed, and it may cause such a problem.

Please try to change the RGB format in Xconfig. For detailed steps, refer to "Managing Color->To reverse the order of RGB fields in TrueColor visual" in Xmanager Help.

Hope this helps you.
