windows XP PC, I also set up font server on my
RedHat Linux9.0 Box. Unfortunately, I never see
the chinese characters in my Xstart(Xterm) terminal. when I did some test by using
xterm -fn *sung-song*, it pops up a window and
display nothing even I can see the cursor. what
should I do next? Thans a lot!

1. Download http://download.conux.com/files/fonts/chinese.exe and install on your PC
2. Open Xmanager 1.3.9 -> Xconfig -> Font -> Add Directory
3. Point D:\Program Files\Xmanager1.3.9\Fonts\zh_CN\zh_CN.EUC\font.dir
4. Repeat step 2&3 for zh_CN.GBK, zh_TW.BIG5, zh_TW.EUC
5. Move up your preferred font to top on the list
6. Save and open Xmanager

Make sure the user locale is "zh_CN.EUC" (or the others above) on your remote system! You can also add your font server in similar way! Netsarang FAQ will give you a good idea! Good luck!

Xterm is not a terminal which supports 2 bytes languages. You should use Gnome-terminal or Konsole, which are internationalized and localized.
