Hi
I want to use xmanager in passive mode.
when i telnet the solaris server and say
admitool, it is giving the error:can't display.
I think some environment variable need to be set.
Would you pls.advice?
Thank you in advance.

Instead of using a normal telnet program, try the Xstart program in the Xmanager folder. It sets up the DISPLAY variable automatically.
Basically, you should set the DISPLAY variable as following before running admintool:
# export DISPLAY=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0
or
# setenv DISPLAY xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0
depending on your shell. The xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx should be the IP address of your PC on which Xmanager is running.
Be sure that your Windows machine and the Unix server are located in the same network. If your Windows machine is inside in a firewall or has a private IP address, the admintool cannot connect to Xmanager.
