127.0.0.1 question [1]
127.0.0.1 question
Thursday, September 11, 2003 5:40 AM - luthor
When I log in using xstart i get the message "A connection address has been recieved from an unauthorized client" the address is 127.0.0.1.
Is it ok to accept this connection? My understanding is that this is just a loopback that my pc runs in order to maintain connectivity.

The message may be displayed when you have turned on the Access Control option in the Xconfig. An Xstart connection with SSH protocol redirects 127.0.0.1 to Xmanager. You can disable the message by adding "localhost" in the Trusted Hosts list of Xconfig.
If the problem persists, please let us know the connection method you are using and any options for security.
