I use Xmanager to tap into an old linux system that I have set up to replace my stereo (it has a 5.1 speaker system available). I log into it remotely from another linux machine and run xmms to play music. I also have a windows laptop on which I run Xmanager for the same purpose. However, the main xmms window is either empty(black) or illegibly smeared, the play list or equilizer windows are both ok. I tried it with a different x-server and it worked. Could I be doing something wrong in the Xmanager configuration?
I use ssh through xstart to get an xterm, and enter xmms in the terminal window.
If anyone has gotten this to work I will truly appreciate their input.
Thanks,
Carlos
