Termination when idle [1]

Termination when idle

Tuesday, September 16, 2003 9:52 AM - Jina Kim

I'm using xmanager version 1.3.9, and I start xmanager through SSH.
When I let all the xterm windows idle for a while, it loses the connection and all the windows are closed.
OS is Windows2000.

What is the reason?
Thanks.

The firewall system in between your Windows and server may disconnect idle connections.

By default, the SSH connection sends keep alive signals every 300 seconds. You can try to decrease the keep alive interval as following:

1. Run Xstart.
2. Click Advanced.
3. Click Option tab.
4. Enter an appropriate value in the Interval box.
5. Click OK.

Also, check the time limits configured in the firewall or NAT system.
