New sessions don't gain focus [1]

When creating a new window from launching a session shortcut it always opens in the background. I tried the single process mode, but that allow for multiple windows. Is there another setting I'm missing?

Program Ver. : Xshell 5

Xshell has an option that sends Xshell windows to the system notification area, but I don't think this option is related to your issue. Also, this issue is not related to the single process mode.

Try deleting or renaming the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NetSarang\Xshell\5


If you're using Xshell from within Xmanager Enterprise, the registry key is:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NetSarang\Xmanager Enterprise\5\Xshell
