Home and End keys does not work [3]

Home and End keys does not work

Tuesday, April 16, 2013 8:33 AM - Richard Shelton

Home and End keys does not work as expected. Any Windows SSH client oddly expected, that xterm termcap specified Home and End keys as :kh=\E[1~:@7=\E[4~:, but standard xterm specified they as :@7=\EOF:kh=\EOH and keys does not work.

So, I have some questions:

1. How to reassign keycode for Home/End (like F1-F20)
2. How to specify any own terminal type - this ability leads to manipulate termcap keys as I need.

Program Ver. : Xshell 4

Assigning keycode in Xshell is not possible.

Can you tell us when the problem occurs? I think this is a configuration issue.

2. How to specify any own terminal type - this ability leads to manipulate termcap keys as I need.

You can change the terminal type in Session Properties > Terminal. Select on the appropriate Terminal Type.

Also, you can change the TERM value in terminal by using the following command: export TERM=xterm

i think you can specify alternative key map for F1 to F12 from Terminal --> Keyboard as per attached file.
I hope that can help.

I think this is not a configuration issue.

I also meet this problem on Linux OS with Intel atom CPU.

Both the HOME and END keys do not work.

But they do work with TeraTerm.
