Can't open 5th tab, opens in new window [5]

I have 2 windows open, each with 4 tabs already open. If I try to open another connection in either window it opens in a new window instead of a new tab.

Is this working as expected (by some setting, somewhere)?

Xshell 5 allowed, seemingly, any number of tabs open in a single window. I want that behaviour restored.

This is not a bug. Our research showed that 4 tabs was typically more than enough for home and school users for one window. If you require more tabs on a single window, we encourage you to support us by purchasing a license.

Okay, we've bought a license and I've reinstalled Xshell (Plus), it's showing as "activated" and I still can't get a 5th tab to open in the same window.

It spawns a new window.

It sounds like the tab restriction option is still selected in your options.

Go to Options -> View and at the bottom, please uncheck the "Maximum number of tabs per window" option.

Free licenses don't allow you to uncheck this option, but paid licenses do. However, when free license users change to paid licenses on the same machine, this option remains checked which understandably leads to confusion.

Our next build release will resolve this issue and any user who switches to a paid license will automatically have the tab restriction option set to unlimited. Apologize for the confusion and thank you for supporting us by purchasing a license.
