Is there a way to change password globally or for a folder so all saved sessions can use the new password?

Here, I have attached a password changing utility that you can use for Xshell 2.0 sessions. To use it:
1. Extract the zip file and execute Xpasswd.exe.
2. Add sessions to the list and click Next.
3. Enter the new password.
Please let me know if you need it for Xshell 3.0.

Thankyou for sharing the utility. If you can share the utility for xshell 3.0 that would be awsome.
Thanks,
John

2. Add sessions to the list and click Next.
3. Enter the new password.
4. Click Next to save the changes.
Hope you like it.

Could you help us to modfity it to command line tool? So that we can change the password automatic by Windows Task.
The usage like:
xpasswd NEW_PASSWORD XSH_FILE_LIST
Example:
xpasswd 123456 a.xsh b.xsh c.sh Links/*.xsh
Thanks & best regards!

Hi,
Would it be possible to provide a Password utility for XShell 4 ?
I understand this would be a feature in the next major version; would it be possible to give us a temporary solution till then ?
Regards,
George.

This feature will be embedded in Xshell as part of the software. So, we cannot provide just this feature as an executable. I am sorry about that.

I update password for one session using xshell, open its session file, copy the password and search/replace on rest of the *.xsh files. But I recently installed xshell5 on my new laptop and copied over the xshell4 session files from my old laptop. Everything works fine except my password updates using search/replace technique in *.xsh files.
How do I update my password on all *.xsh files in one shot in xshell5? Please help!!

You cannot copy and paste passwords. They are encrypted with unique keys. The best way to use Xshell 4 sessions in version 5 is by exporting sessions in Xshell 4 and importing them in Xshell 5.
I hope this helps.

In XShell5, File-Open (Alt + O) and select all the sessions (CTRL+A). Right click and go to Properties - Click on Authentication and enter the username and password. This changes the password for all the sessions globally.
