Slow response when highlight is on [4]

From the beginning of using Xshell 6 highlight feature I have the problem on all Linux systems that screen redrawing response is very slow. You can see it when navigating by arrows on mc or less utilities.
1 keyword rule causes some discomfort but a few keyword rules makes it really sluggish and unusable. At the same time on non-linux systems such as network devices there is no such problem and about 10 keywork rules make just tiny slowdown.
I tried to play with some settings such as VT Modes, but with no success. Is there any solution for this?

Try disabling On-the-fly highlighting by going to Options -> Advanced and turning on the option.

How many keywords do you have in your highlight set?

Even 1-2 keywords can cause problems, but only if there are many occurences of searched words on the page (10 and more). The more I scroll, the more sluggish it becomes, even if there are no occurences on the current screen. Seems like some buffer overflows and slows down the display.
I could record video to make it clear.
