Our Version 6 Open Beta has a feature that should meet your needs.

Using Version 6's highlight feature, you can change colors or font decorations depending on keywords.

In the current version of Xshell, the easiest way to achieve what you want is to change the PS1 terminal environment.

export PS1="\033[35m${PS1}\033[0m"

As you may already know, this command changes the color of your current prompt string to the 6th color of Xshell's color scheme.

Also, you can use PowerLine, which is commonly used for this purpose: https://github.com/powerline/powerline
