Making XDMCP transparent on desktop

I cannot seem to make the unix or linux desktops transparent with Xmanager.I would like to be able to have multiple X windows applications running on my WinXP desktop but the XDMCP session takes over the whole display and hides the WinXP taskbar. Ideally, both taskbars would be displayed and the WinXP wallpaper and icons would be seen.see the picture using winaXe at http://www.apcmag.com/pics/ws/0101config3.gifIn one configuration I have a Windows XP running Xmanager with Multiple Window Mode the Background is X window transparent and WM is auto.Has anyone found a way to make this work? Thanks, Eric

First of all, download the newest version at:
/download/download.html
And you set up the same screen layout as following:
1. run an xterm using Xstart.
2. run "panel" or "gnome-panel" from the xterm prompt.
The screen-shot you suggested is not an XDMCP session. It is just a multiple window mode with a local window manager.
