Redhat Linux 8.0 [1]

Redhat Linux 8.0

I am using xmanager to connect to Solaris, Redhat 7.2, Redhat 8.0.
When I am connecting to Solaris or Redhat 7.2, there's no problem. But when I connect to Redhat 8.0, redhat 8.0 slows down after 15-30 minutes of use. I am not sure the problem is with redhat or xmanager. If you have encountered any problem using xmanager with redhat 8.0 xwindows, let me know. Thanks.

Symptom.

At first, it doesn't slow down much, but after 15-20 minutes of use, it starts slowing down then it looks like has been halted for 10-20 minutes then it frees the memory. During this slowness, if I tried to access linux box directly, it also virtually stopped as well.

We've tested Xmanager with RedHat 8.0 and the same problem didn't happened in our environment.

Please let us know that if the problem occurs only after using Xmanager, or else the linux box slowed down regardless of Xmanager. We think that some processes in linux consumes system resources during Xmanager session. This might be caused by an unknown error in the linux installation.

We'll also try to figure out the reason further.
