Connecting to Redhat 7.2 with xdmcp

Hi,
I'm trying to connect to my linux box fromm a win98 machine with xmanager. I can launch an xterm using Xstart and use this to run X applications, however I can't connect via the Xbrowser to get a graphical logon to the linux desktop.
The linux machine appears in Xbrowser, but when I try to connect I just get the grey screen with a mouse pointer, after a while a message saying xdmcp connection failed appears.
I have enabled xdmcp in the gdm.conf file. My linux box always boots to the redhat graphical logon screen on it's local screen, so presumably I should be able to obtain the same screen via Xmanager?
Any ideas would be much appreciated
Cheers

Hi,
I've managed to get it working - was tweeking the hosts file on the linux box and it now works (not exactly sure what was wrong). I now get my usual redhat login screen (minus the redhat picture) and Xwindows seems to work perfectly.
Many thanks
