Euro-Sign missing [1]

Euro-Sign missing

Friday, January 25, 2002 1:05 AM - Torsten

Hello to all!

I am using X-Manager 1.3.9 to logon a Solaris 8 server, using XDMCP.

Things are working fine, untill I try to type an "¿" (Euro-sign), a I always get an "e" displayed.

I already tried to play around with the keyboard and its settings, but so far nothing worked....

Thanks a lot in advance,

Torsten.

Please download the following font pack and run it on your PC.

http://download.conux.com/files/fonts/iso8859-15.exe

Without font installation, the Euro sign might not be displayed correctly.

And then modify your keyboard file as following:

1. Open Xconfig utility.
2. Go to "Input->Keyboard File".
3. Select your keyboard file.
4. Click [Edit] button. Keyboard editor will show up.
5. Click "E" button.
6. Search for "currency" at the [Keysym Search] field.
7. Click arrow button at the right of [Mode Switch] field.
8. Save keymap file and restart Xmanager.

If the problem persists, please give us the keyboard file you modified.

We hope this could help you.
