I'm behind a router and I can't seem to connect to my unix host
I have a netgear router through which I connect to the internet. I can use telnet to connect to the unix system but I can't run an x session with Xmanager... It's as if the information can't find it's way back. can anyone help me?
thanks

Please try SSH protocol supported by Xstart. The SSH protocol requires an ssh server is installed in the Unix host.
Other connection protocols such as TELNET, XDMCP cannot be used with a netgear router.
For ssh server, please visit at:
http://www.openssh.com/
Otherwise, you can try port forwarding configuration with TELNET protocol. If you can setup your netgear router to forward incoming TCP 6000 port to your PC, you can work with TELNET protocol in Xstart. This is a little bit difficult.
