Xshell5 install error win10-x64

Hello, tried to find if this error was known but can not find any information about it.

Just downloaded todat for home use and to try it out to compare with what I have been using and heard this was a good choice.
But i can't! I get and installation error "Error reading setup initialization file"
and there it stops. Tried it on two different computers with windows 10 x64 with different antivirus both on and off etc, can't find a solution to this.

Screenshots attached, error message and file information.

Program Ver. : Xshell 5

Hi Anders,

Were both installations you tested using the same exe? This error can occur if the download file is corrupted or incomplete. Can you try downloading it again?

This is so weird, downloaded from the mailed link several times because i thought the same thing (using chrome).

Read your message and thought id try something and used DAP instead and filesize increased from 31,3 to 31,4 and offcourse it worked...

i'll try to recreate this and se what it could be.

ty for poking my mind :)

(edit) same thing exactly with Xftp5p.exe .. amazing..

Glad you got it working!

To clarify, by DAP, are you referring to a download manager? I'll have our side look into this as well.

So.. tried again several times.

I use Google Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) and it can NOT download the file completly, I just cant do it without DAP or using M$ crap browsers.

(edit) yes, dap = download accelerator plus

filesize difference:

2017-10-06 19:22 32 054 752 Xftp5p.exe <-using chrome
2017-10-06 19:27 32 157 152 Xftp5p_2.exe <-using dap

never ever seen this before =)
