Auto-login problem with XSHELL 5

Tuesday, November 21, 2017 7:50 AM - Jeff

I upgraded to XSHELL 5 (Build 1335) and since then, when using SSH to log into a remote Centos server, it often (almost always) hangs and will not accept any keystokes when auto-login is selected. It says connection established but no bash prompt appears. I can use interactive login and then it works.

I tried connecting to two different servers and from two different client computers with the same results. If I have multiple sessions and one starts working then all (usually but not always) start working (e.g. I manually log into one and the others start to work).

Hope this helps.

PS the login prompt is also unreliable and only appears sometimes. It sometimes hangs before it appears and then one has to restart the programme a few times before it appears.

PPS A similar problem seems to occur in Xftp5 (using sftp). I also need to log in manually or it just hangs

Program Ver. : Xshell 5

We were unable to duplicate this issue.

What do you mean by auto-login? And what method of authentication are you using? Password, public key, or keyboard interactive?

Also, if you can provide screenshots, it would be very helpful.
