ssh-dsa 2048 host key verification failed [1]

DSA 20148 host keys are support in Xshell so the problem may not originate from the type or length of the key. It may be a different problem.

However, if you can shorten the key length or the type of key such as rsa, ecdsa, this is recommended.

If and only if the problem is caused by FIPS 140-2 compliance, the current version of Xshell unfortunately cannot cover this issue.
