Multiple Lines in Compose Bar [3]

Multiple Lines in Compose Bar

Friday, September 29, 2017 3:47 PM - anish

Hi,

Is it possible to enter multiple lines of command in a compose bar at once and send it all at once where it would work as if I copied the list of commands from a text editor and pasted into Xshell.

eg:

if I pasted the following directly to Xshell, It'd work:
ls
ipconfig
(Space)

However, If I entered same commands in compose bar, its not possible to enter a CR before I verify the command. And if there was some delay that can be introduced before each commands.

SecureCRT supports this but I love Xshell.

Thanks.

Program Ver. : Xshell 5

This is actually already implemented for Xshell 6 which will be released shortly in the future.

Was this ever implemented? I'm running build 0069 and if I try to type commands into the compose pane it sends it to terminal as soon as I hit enter. I was expecting the enter key to give you a new line and another mechanism would be used to send it to terminal.

In the Compose Pane, currently, Shift+Enter will create a new line while just Enter sends to the terminal. However, we'll further discuss internally how the Enter key should behave in regards to the Compose Pane.
