Xmanager leaving session open
Wednesday, July 19, 2006 10:34 AM - Daryl
When I disconnect a session from a IBM AIX host , the session still appears to open to the host. The only way to kill the session is to manually kill it from the host console. Is there anyway of xmanager to disconnect nicely.

Please let us know the connection method and protocol of your session. CDE or Xstart with a specific protocol.

Telnet process can be terminated by using the Time-out feature. To use this feature, follow the procedure below:
1. Open Xshell.
2. Select a session that is causing the problem.
3. Make sure TELNET is selected in Protocol.
4. Click Setup.
Result: Telnet Protocol Setup dialog box opens up.
5. Set Time-out value to 15.
This will terminate the Telnet process 15 seconds after the connection is closed.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
