Xshell session disconnects automatically after idle time

Monday, April 11, 2016 8:15 AM - Suganya

Hello Team,

I have kept my Xshell5 window idle for sometime. After the idle time, all the sessions got closed automatically & back to Local shell.

Can you please let me know is ti something to do with some settings or it's a bug/issue with Xshell 5 ?

Thanks.

Program Ver. : Xshell 5

When you idle Xshell is your PC at any time going into sleep mode? If so, the network may disconnect as there may be a lack of power supplied to your network interface card(NIC). Without a network connection, Xshell will disconnect from your sessions.

You can verify the power settings of your network card by going to Control Panel -> Device Manager. Locate your NIC and go to its properties. Navigate to the Power Management tab and make sure the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option is unchecked. I've attached a photo for reference.
