Hotkey for opening a local shell [1]

It's really nice to have one window with multiple session tabs. One nice thing would be to have the ability to open a new 'Local Shell' with a hotkey so that I can do 'open sessionname'. I like to do as much as I can without using a mouse.

I tried to customize it in the mnu file but don't know what the trigger would be.

If it's not available, it would be a nice feature.
