Can't launch build 0235, 10/28/08 [1]

I just upgraded my previous build (0225) but now when I launch XShell.exe, I get the error below:

How can we download older releases of XShell 3.0?


The worst part is that I can't install an older build of XShell which I had downloaded a while ago. The installer fails with "A later version of 'Xshell 3' is already installed on this machine. The setup cannot continue.", although I have removed the installation folder. I guess it looks somewhere non-obvious in the Registry.

Please help, this makes me unable to use XShell at all.

This problem may occur when the some files are not updated correctly. After rebooting your machine, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the product.

If reinstalling does not work, please uninstall Xshell and remove the following registry entries and then try installing it again:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\InstallShield Uninstall Information\99FF7547-7605-4847-8EC3-1418AE4D7AAE
