I have the same problem with "Object Reference not set" when I try install product, but the value for the key registry is configure fine.
I have Windows Xp Professional Version 2002 service pack 2, this machine have Intel Pentium processor 1.6 Ghz with 1.5 Gb of ram memory.

This problem occurs with old InstallShield engine. Please uninstall and reinstall the new InstallShield engine.

1. Remove C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\9

2. Download ISScript9.zip

3. Extract the file and double click on IsScript.msi to start installing.
