hi
I have connection problem whem I use my wireless router between my pc and my modem.
I don't have problem to connect if my pc is directly connected on my modem.
I try to solve de problem with the help section of Xmanager with no result (configuring firewall section).
I try to solve the proble with linksys (my router company) technical support with no result.
at this point, what I can do if I must use my wireless router?
Mathieu

When you are behind a wireless router and connecting to a remote host outside of your network, you need to do port forwarding. Please look at the attached diagram:
To use Xmanager under NAT
Under NAT environment where PC is assigned to a private IP address, you have to use port forwarding to redirect incoming network traffic to user?s PC.
Here is an instruction:

Alternative method
If you cannot reconfigure your router or firewall, you can use SSH instead of XDMCP to launch individual X applications (including Gnome/KDE/CDE).
