Tuesday, August 14, 2007 10:54 PM - tina

Hi,
I tried to install xmanager2.1 evaluation copy.I just entered "evaluation" for the product key, then an error message popped up telling me "failed to open the nslicense.dll"..."the product key you have entered is not valid for this version or has been expired". Can anybody help me out?
Thanks.

Hi there,

Sometimes InstallShield has a problem with finding the temporary directories or files needed for the installation. And that sometimes can be related to your Windows user account's name. Try to create a new Windows user account with the name composed of only alpha and numeric characters. Then, log on to that account and install Xmanager. That might solve your problem.

Cheers~

John

hi,
Thanks for your reply.
But it doesnt work at all...
I create a new account with very simple user name, Then log in as the new user I created, run the installer.....with the same error..
Should I change my computer name or something else?
Thank you.
Tina

Hey Tina, this looks like your installshield program got some problem. Try to move C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield to some other place (for backup purpose) and redownload the Xmanager installation file and install it.
