I'm trying to connect Suse9.1 machine through Xmanager from my WinXP Desktop. It is showing "XDMCP connection failed" message. But, the same thing when I try to from another WinXP Desktop it is connecting sucessfully. I have disable firewall in desktop, still i facing the problem. Can You please helpme out to resolve this issue.

Hi,

I just think of two possibilities. One is that your PC is not reachable from your Linux server. Can you "ping" to it? The other one is that in somewhere between your PC and server the firewall is still up and running blocking the connection to be made from your server to the PC. Ahh.. one more thing can be the DNS issue and you might want to add your PC's IP address into /etc/hosts.

Btw, if you haven't gone over this(/download/down_xmg2.html) yet, check Step 3 #3.

Cheers~
