X Error of failed request: BadValue [1]

While using Xmanager in Window NT to launch an application (from Solaris), the following messages encountered.


X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
Value in failed request: 0x8
Serial number of failed request: 24872
Current serial number in output stream: 25498

It seems that the application tries to create an 8-bit pixmap on true color video device.

Please open Xconfig and change the following options:

1. Default Visual: PseudoColor
2. Backing Store: WhenMapped

The above options will emulate 256 colors on true color device.
