XShell 3.0 Beta Crash [1]
XShell 3.0 Beta Crash
Friday, January 5, 2007 2:13 AM - cbuzzsaw
An unhandled win32 exception occured in Xshell.exe [756]. ...
Initial Encounter
1. One session (tab) open
2. opened a new session to connect to another machine
3. Prompted for the password
4. Went to go look up the password
5. after a short period of time got the above error, almost like the timeout for user credentials fired and caused the error during canceling the connection.
6. Clicked ok and all of xshell's windows closed.
This is repeatable. I Simplified the case to open a single session and have a window wait for you to type in the password when prompted. After about 24 seconds you get the win32 error if you don't type the password.
Seems like a cleanup issue when the timer fires or the server closes the login session.
Thanks,
Chris
