running Xshell on multiple monitors

Hi,
I've just installed Xmanager Enterprise 2 to evaluate the product. I've setup Xshell to connect to the linux platforms in my department but I have the following problems:
1) I'm running Xshell on my laptop and I also have attached to it an external monitor. If I open a login shess using Xshell I can move the window from one monitor to the other without any problem, however if I open an applicvation (Xemacs, for example) it is always opened on my expernal monitor and if I try to move it to the laptops' monitor it will always go back to the monitor. How can I tell Xshell to manage both monitors at the same time ?
2) I tried to setup the various login shells so that I have a different background, caracter colour and cursor colour depending on the machine I login to. However, using the 'Advanced' button to make these changes I always find that I change the setting for all the sessions at the same time. Is there a way to do a 'custom setting' for each session ?
Many thanks !
Fabrizio

Sorry to come back to this, but I've found how to run Xshell on multiple-monitors when Xshell is downloaded as part of the Xmanager Enterprise 2 package. This involves changing some settings in Xconfig in the Xmanager direcotry. If I now download Xshell stand-alone (so, not within Xmanager) there is no Xconfig.... how can I tell Xshell to support multiple-monitors now ?
Thanks !
Fab
Thanks !

In order to run X clients such as XEmacs on your PC, Xmanager as an X server should be installed first. If you only install Xshell on your PC, remote X applications cannot be run and the multiple monitors support is not required.
If you already installed Xshell, please install Xmanager Standard or Enterprise to be able to run remote X applications on your PC.
Thank you for using Xshell.
