Hello~
Tried the steps and had usual reaction for a binary file. No output due to non-printable characters and the command prompt is shown right after that as usual. (although it takes quite a while to wait seeing this happening..)
Have you tried in console and checked if Xshell is behaving differently?

I forgot to tell that it is under AIX 5.3.
While I use telnet command under winxp, telnet command will not hung(Ctrl + C could break it) but xshell did.

We have tested Xshell 3.0 Beta (Build 0088) with your attached file on AIX 5.3, but failed to duplicate this problem. Please give us the following information:
1. Detailed information on connection (ex. protocol, etc.)
2. Detailed information on the "hung" situation
(Is entire Xshell window hung or only the session tab hung?)
Thank you for your cooperation.

We have tested this problem in our lab, but the problem could not be duplicated. Here is our test result:
We used ΒΏheadΒΏ on the provided file, and the process ended in just a few seconds without any output. Also, using ΒΏctrl + cΒΏ stopped the process instantly.
It seems the problem most likely occurs only on your PC. To further test this problem, it would be helpful if you can provide us with a temporary user account on the server. If you can, please send us your response to support@netsarang.com along with any updates on this problem.
Thank you for your cooperation.
