Double clicking tab should maximize the tab to full window size. The current layout of tab lies in the background.
On double clicking again should take me to original layout of the tab.

Currently double clicking on the tab will duplicate the current tab. You can maximize the tab by double clicking on the title bar.
Can you explain why you would want to make tab double click as maximize?

I am opening mutiple tabs in single window. Say 4 tabs in single window. Now the tabe height/width is not enough for me to see the contents clearly. Now if I double click the tab it would be maximized. After my work is done , again double click the maximized tab, should go to old one.
Alternately, it would be good if we have the option to move the tab to new window.

Please try Alt+Enter to maximize the current focused tab. Press the same key combination to restore to the old state.
