feature req.: xmodem/ymodem support [13]

It would be nice to see xmodem/ymodem support in Xshell. It coud help to upload cisco ios to rommon.

We need xmodem!

Xmodem is wanted badly

Developers are working on X/Ymodem. Hoping to include it in the next major version. If everything finishes faster than we expect, we may add it to the current version.

I am also looking forward to seeing xmodem implemented in Xshell.

I thought I had just about convinced everyone that Xshell was the best terminal program available until I found I needed an Xmodem file transfer and discovered it didn't exist in Xshell 5. All the Tera Term users had that "I told you so" look on their faces.

I am sorry to hear this happened. I will request this feature again one more time. We will help you prove that Xshell is the best terminal emulator after all.

Thank you. I look forward to possibly seeing this in a future Xshell release. It was painful having to figure out how to configure and use Tera Term just for the Xmodem function.

We are almost done with implementation for x/y modem support. It will be rolled in to alpha release. The alpha version should be released before the end of this year.
