We don't have a Cisco router to test this issue. Is it possible to use a simulator like GNS3? If you are using GNS3, can you send us the sample file that that replicate this issue?

Dear developers, this is not the issue - this is functional allowing to generate break signal and send it to device (hardware, not emulation) via console.
It is considered to be basic function of any terminal emulatior. Look at competitor software - nearly all (!!!) of them support "break signal".
It is nealy impossible to maintain CISCO devices without this function. As for me - I have to use putty along with Xshell for sending "break signal". That is not convenient.
I begging you - add this function in your software PLS.
You can see here for detailed information.

Xshell does have a send break feature. You can right click on the terminal and there is a Send Break option. Have you tried this feature?

Oh, thank you. That was easy. LoL
And I have found root of the problem:
If I use right button click and choose - SEND BREAK item - it WORKS!!!
But if I press Pause button - nothing happens.
And I can not change this key combination. If I try to use pause while assigning key Xshell doesn't handle PAUSE button pressing (neither "change" not "new").
If I use another combination (for instance CTRL+1) it WORKS.
I tested this in different OS (Win XP, Win 7,Win 8.1) with no other software installed. Pause button doesn't work. Another two keyboards also were tested.
I use version - Xshell 4 Build 0138
But thank you very much - the main problem is SOLVED.

I use Xshell 5 (build 0752) and break in cisco CLI doesn't work.
I used CTRL+Break and right-click "Send Break", on the left corner I can read
"A break signal has been sent", but nothing happens.
Thanks

Can you record the steps to duplicate the problem by using psr.exe and send it back to us? It will help us resolve the problem faster. Please send the file to support@netsarang.com.
