Serial connection to vmware virtual machine named pipe? [12]

Hi,

I am using xshell 4 and I also tried xshell 5 beta. But none of them allows me to connect to serial interface of a vmware virtual machine.

I have screenshots below. So is this supported or I configured something wrong?

I do not have issue if using putty though.

Thank you for reporting this problem. We have successfully duplicated the issue and it has been reported for a fix. Case # for this issue is 2495.

We don't have a fixed date on this. But, this is an import feature ( or a bug) so I think our team will work on this as soon as possible.

Has this issue been fixed now ? I tried Xshell 5 beta but i was not able to make it work.

This feature is not supported yet but is queued for development for the next release.

This case (#2495) was resolved in the latest release. Please try upgrading your software by going to Help > Check for updates.

Did you setup the serial port like ".\pipe\com_1" in session dialog?
