Please make sure that you have restarted the SSH server after altering the SSH configuration file.

If problem persists, please send us the messages on "Xrcmd: Reply Messages" window. To view the message window you should select the "Show reply messages" check box in Xstart.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Dear support,

I am also facing the same problem with X11 forwarding on my server.

I have enabled the X11 forwarding feature on my server and have restarted the ssh daemon also but to no avail. still it is giving a error that " server has refused the X11 forwarding request "

please suggest further action. I have attached the log files as instructed on ur site.

version of server : solaris 9 , headless system

netwok config : my site consists of a firewall. we have desktops on 3.x IP's and the server is on 58.X shared domain Ip's. I have verified the from the firewall team that they have opened the port 22 and xdmp port 177 on the firewall. further the 3.x IP's are having a natting on them. all the 3.x IP's are natted to this common IP 168.239.139.2.

Can't really see what you problem is.

Did you edit the correct file? You should edit the /etc/ssh/sshd_config file.

Attach your sshd_config file to your next post. Maybe I can help you out with this.

There can be a few causes for this problem.

1. Check if you have xauth file and its is executable by your account.
2. Check if you have write permission to the $HOME/.Xauthority file and the $HOME directory.

If your problem persists, please try with a different user account and see if the problem persists.

I have same problem but it got resolved. I ask to open the firewall port from our local PC to AIX server.

Network team has open the firewall port from your PC to AIX server then this will work.

Thanks
