Randr extension missing

Hi, I have got some problem with randr extension when I connect to my remote Ubuntu 9.10:
(1) In termnal run any X application, such as gedit, I get:
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0.0".

(2) when I want to change screen resolution, the same problem comes up:
$sudo gnome-display-properties
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:0.0".

(gnome-display-properties:5448): Gtk-WARNING **: Ignoring the separator setting

(gnome-display-properties:5448): libglade-WARNING **: could not find a parent that handles internal children for `vbox'

and a pop-up said "RANDR extension is not present"

(3) some wxpython application will crash with the return "Segmentation fault"

(4) I also try all of the same test with Xming 6.9, but Xming 6.9 works well.

I wander if Xmanager support Randr extension. If not, how to make the Xmanager work better?

Thanks!!

Program Ver. : Xmanager 3.0

Currently, there is no plan to support RandR extension. However, RandR should not prevent X application from running. They usually just display warning messages which has no effect on running the actual application.

Could you tell us the name of wxpython application so that we can try duplicating the problem?
