Local Editor Feature request [1]

Local Editor Feature request

It would nice if it were possible to quickly edit a file using a local system editor by typing some shortcut for it directly in the ssh session.

For instance, I use notepad++ for most things, and say I wanted to use it to edit the /etc/fstab file, I could do the following command (assuming my current working directory is /etc):

"npp fstab"

I currently have xftp setup to let me edit with notepad++ directly.

I would imagine the easiest possible way to add this feature would be to have xshell start xftp and initiate a connection to the server (already does this), move to the cwd, and do a remote edit (as it currently does).

So the only new things that would need to be done are getting the working directly from the current ssh session and figuring out when a local command occurs so that xshell knows when to start xftp.

Program Ver. : Xshell 4 Beta

Thank you for your feature request. We will think of ways to easily incorporate 3rd party applications with Xshell.
