Dual Display problems? [1]

Dual Display problems?

Greetings,
I'm evaluating this as an alternative to StarNet's product which we use at work (for some reason their fonts are just plain messed up - way too large). I like what I'm seeing here so far but when I tried to use single window mode I ran into the following issues:
Hardware: Dell 8100 with NVidia GeoForce 2GO running two monitors, each at 1600x1200 - treated as seperate displays by the OS. Under the covers though I'm sure its one huge video area that gets split by the driver and by Windows XP. At any rate, since XP thinks its 2 seperate monitors each capable of running at different refesh and resolutions I'm not sure how much that matters.

Problem 1: If I enable full screen mode full screen spans both monitors....should grab one or the other (Usually full screen mode grabs display1 for most other products).

Problem 2: If I say not full screen mode but don't specify a resolution as 1600x1200 it again tries to grab both monitors.

Problem 3: If I specify multiple mode but login to an XDMCP session it again grabs both monitors as a very large desktop.

Problem 4: (this may be expected behaviour?) - If I use XDMCP I could live maybe with the span 2 monitors if the settings to use the windows background worked so that it looked sort of merged into my normal environment. I don't know that this SHOULD work like this but I was trying to work around problems 1,2, & 3.

Problem 5: If I use single mode, specify a resolution of 1600x1200 all is fine, however I may want my local linux box as a single mode full desktop, but my vpn connections to the HPUX and Solaris boxes to simply be multipe mode Xterm connections. Currently it opens a second single mode screen and I have to work within that boundry....can I run 2 copies one configured in Single mode and one in multiple mode? Or can the mode be determeined by the shortcut starting the session? (and can both simultaneously exist?)

Question 6: I don't BELIEVE it to be a huge deal but is there any intention to support the RENDER and GLX extensions for antialising?

Xmanager merges the two screens into a single virtual screen. So, you should specify the resolution of Xmanager window explicity.

You can use both Single and Multiple mode. You can do it by configuring the window mode as Multiple Window Mode in the Xconfig. The Xbrowser always launches Xmanager as Single Window Mode regardless of the window mode of Xconfig. The Xstart will follow the window mode of Xconfig.

The RENDER and GLX extensions are to be supported in our future version but an official schedule is not fixed yet.
