Xftp transfile wrong

Thursday, April 2, 2009 7:07 PM - Bambo Huang

Newest version of xftp.

It's very strange, sometimes, it will automaticly change the 0x0A code to 0x0D 0x0A, even in bin mode.

I don't remember how it happen, maybe trans several big file in the same time, such as gcc-g++-4.3.2.tar.bz2
gcc-core-4.3.2.tar.bz2
,but sometimes even trans one file, it will do so.

My test box is AIX 5.3, I have set the host type to Unix and xftp is opened from xshell 3

Program Ver. : Xftp 3.0

This problem could not be duplicated. Are there any special settings or procedures we need to follow?

Hi,

i also have a problem transfering files with Xftp...
In about 40% cases a tgz file im transfering is corrupted on the other end, shorter for several kilobytes.
Took me 3 days of debugging my software to figure out that the problem was in Xftp transfer.
This usually happens with other ftp clients when they are not in binary mode, but i have set Xftp to binary mode, and this still happens.

I really like Xftp but am forced to use some other software due to this unexplicable problem....

Please let me know if you fix this bug, so i can continue using..

Thank you!

We have fixed several bugs in transferring large files and errors that occurs in unstable network. We are currently testing the fixes to final release. Please check back again in early February for updates.

Meanwhile, could you tell us the following information?

1. Name and version of the SFTP/FTP server.
2. File size and type.
3. Network condition.
