XFTP downloads are slow. [1]

On the same computer, downloading from the same server, FileZilla will download at 2MB/s, while Xftp 4 will only download at 450KB/s.

Any idea why? There are no other active transfers. All variables are the same on the remote server and local machine.

Transfer data on Filezilla is refreshed more frequently. So, it may look like Filezilla is faster at some point. As for Xftp, the speed is more averaged out. Try downloading the same file and see if Filezilla is faster then Xftp.

1. What is the connection method?
2. How many files are you transfering?
