Need an option to bypass all hotkeys

Thursday, December 27, 2012 12:53 AM - Steve

Need to using Emacs through ssh all day. But lots of keyboard are swallowed by XShell. So things get better if there is an option(disable by default) to disable all hotkey XShell used and send it to terminal.

Program Ver. : Xshell 4

Try using the Use Alt key as meta key option in the Session properties > keyboard.

I did, with some additional custom keymaps. But these isn't enough. e.g. Control + Alt + f will start Xftp.

On OSX, iTerm use Command as a modify key, which keeps alt free. And it do send most of key stroke to server.

On Linux, rxvt-unicode does the same as iTerm.

I think XShell is the only hope on Windows.

Thank you for requesting this feature. This has been forwarded to our developers. We hope to see this feature come alive in our future releases.

Thank you for using Xshell and thank you for being patient with us.
